The Ferrari Enzo is one of the most famous and influential supercars of all time. It has extreme exclusivity, stunning looks and a six-litre V-12 engine which develops enough horsepower to shift the Earth out of orbit. Despite being nearly impossible to attain, one owner donated his model to the St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital to be auctioned off at the Runway for Life

fashion show in Beverly Hills. Runway for Life is a benefit event attended by celebrities intended to raise money for the hospital. The event was held on Sept. 15 at the Beverly Hilton hotel and was attended by over 1000 people including Cindy Crawford and Chris Klein.

The Enzo was donated by an unnamed individual, and Auctioneer Andrea Fiuczynski watched over the auctioning which saw three bidders fight to become the owner of the ultra-rare machine. Ferrari Enzo's were produced in extremely limited numbers and the Italian carmaker invited would-be buyers to apply to purchase the vehicle. An application process was required, and the approximate value of a new Enzo was $650,000.

Joe Abbas, CEO of Luxury Motors in Chicago took the winning bid of $1.15 million dollars for the machine. With only 399 Enzo's sold since their launch in 2003, this event marks only the second time one has been auctioned off for charity. One Enzo was presented to Pope John Paul II by Ferrari, and later auctioned off to raise money for tsunami relief.
