Canadian driver Bruno Spengler leads the DTM statistics for the six last series' championship seasons.

While a third constructors (BMW) is about to enter DTM next season, the German website motorsport-magazin.com had a look at the statistics for the period that ranges between 2006 and 2011, when Audi and Mercedes faced each other after Opel’s DTM retirement at the end of 2005.

Audi is leading the championship wins with four titles with Mattias Ekström (2007), Timo Scheider (2008 and 2009) and Martin Tomczyk (2011). Mercedes won two drivers' titles with Bernd Schneider in 2006 and Paul Di Resta in 2010. But Canadian Bruno Spengler leads most of the statistics.

Spengler shares the highest number of wins with Ekström with 11. However, the Canadian has the highest number of pole positions with 11 and fastest laps with 12.

Moreover, Spengler is the driver who scored most points (306) between 2006 and 2010. He leads Scheider (265 points) and Ekström (255).

Bruno Spengler also stands in 50th position overall in the famous Castrol Edge Ranking, a classification of the best racing drivers in the world.

He is the best Canadian driver ahead of Alex Tagliani (79th), James Hinchcliffe (84th) and Robert Wickens (124th).

Although he dominates the statistics, Bruno Spengler is still waiting to claim his first DTM crown, as he finished runner-up in 2006 and 2007, and took third place overall in 2010 and 2011. He will try his best to reach his goal next season with BMW.
