Bruno Spengler (C Class Mercedes) ermerged quickest in the extra test session of the DTM at Spielberg on Thursday.
This first test session was added by the organizers in order to help the drivers to take their marks on the Austrian circuit, which is making its return to the DTM calendar since the last race presented in 2003.
The Mercedes driver from Quebec confirmed his good form in this begining of the season as he was quickest of the day ahead of his teammates Jamie Green and Gary Paffett.
The best placed Audi was driven by Renger Van der Zande on his team Persson’s 2008-spec A4.
The free practice sessions will resume on Friday and Saturday morning, before the qualifying session on Saturday afternoon.
