DTM: Rookie Miguel Molina set best time in 3rd day in Valencia

Newcomer Miguel Molina (Audi) was quickest of the second day of collective tests in Valencia, on Friday.

Molina set the best performance in 1’28’’579 with his 2008-spec Audi A4, ahead of Mike Rockenfeller’s Audi 2008. For the third consecutive day, a 2008-spec car set the best performance in Valencia.

Jamie Green (C-Class Mercedes) was third quickest in front of Markus Winkelhock’s Audi.

Canadian driver Bruno Spengler was 6th quickest with his 2009 C Class Mercedes, ahead of teammate Ralf Schumacher. Both were the fastest drivers with “new cars”.

Spengler was second until the last moment of the session. He stopped in his pits while Rockenfeller, Green and Winkelhock stayed on track, improving their time.

On Saturday, Valencia will host the fourth and last day of collective tests.
