Five-time DTM series' champion Bernd Schneider, driving for the AMG Mercedes-Benz team, won today the DTM race held at the Nurburgring, round 7 of the 2008 championship.
As it was the case yesterday, rain played a crucial role in the outcome of the race today.
Schneider drove a brilliant race and made it to the front of the field despite the treacherous driving conditions. The last portion of the race saw a fantastic battle for the runner-up spot.
Paul Di Resta (Mercedes) arrived hime second, followed by Jamie Green (Mercedes), Gary Paffett (Mercedes), Timo Scheider (Audi), Mattias Ekström (Audi) and Bruno Spengler who started down in 16th place.
On the points' table, Timo Scheider (Audi), is still first with a total of 44 points. He is followed by Jamie Green (40), Ekström (38), Di Resta (37) and Spengler (28).
