Sebastien Loeb Racing, the team created by the eight-time World Rally Champion, will make its racing debut this weekend at Six Hours of Le Castellet, the opening round of the European Le Mans Series.
Loeb Racing will run an Oreca 03-Nissan LMP2 prototype, with a strong line-up behind the wheel. Young Frenchman Nicolas Marroc, who was the first driver to be announced by the team for the ELMS season, will be joined by two prestigious teammate: Stephane Sarrazin and Nicolas Minassian.
Another former Peugeot member will bring his experience to the team, as engineer Léo Thomas also joined the squad for this season.
Stéphane Sarrazin just clinched victory in the LMP2 category at the 12 Hours of Sebring, co-driving the Starworks team’s HPD ARX-03b car.
Sebastien Loeb Racing will also compete in the French GT Championship with a Mercedes SLS, and will also run three Porsche 911 GT3 Cups in the French Porsche Carrera Cup, including one for the 2010 Indy Light champion Jean-Karl Vernay.
Twenty-three cars will enter the Six Hours of Le Castellet, divided into 12 LMP2 prototypes, 3 GTE Pro cars, 4 GTE Am, and one GTC car.
At the same time, Sebastien Loeb will contest the Rally of Portugal.
