Journalists are invited to test-drive a fuel cell vehicle

The 2008 "Ride Green and Drive Clean" event, sponsored by the University of Waterloo Alternate Fuels Team (UWAFT), will be held Wednesday, April 30, at the Direct Energy Centre, in Toronto. Visitors will get a closer look at Canada's first zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Members of the medias are invited to step behind the wheel and drive this innovative vehicle on a 340-meter interior track. Representatives of the UWAFT development staff will be on hand to present their project and the technology being used. In addition, three marquee guests will give lectures: Gary Lunn, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, David Miller, Mayor of Toronto, and Adel S. Sedra, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
