422race.com exclusively revealed Wednesday that the FIA sent to the 15 teams which manifested their interest in the Formula One entry for 2011 a letter to communicate that official deadline to send their bid information is 21st June.

At that time, the teams will have to formalize their entry and to pay 12,750 Euros to get into the shortlist. The favourite is of course ART Grand Prix, the very competitive GP2 team which is co-owned by the son of the FIA president, Nicolas Todt.

Web site 422race.com understands that the contracts binding Bernie Ecclestone to the TV broadcasters will force him to guarantee at least 26 cars on the grid.

That's why, with the current delicate economic issues of teams Hispania and Sauber, FIA will have to pick more than one team to enter F1 next year. To avoid what happened with USF1 last year, the number one criteria for the selection will be a solid budget.

According to Gocar.gr, 15 teams would have applied. Amongst the candidates are the Americans Cypher Group and Parris Mullins (advisor of the founder of YouTube Chad Hurley who was involved with the USF1 team and who is now welcomed by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo to run a US Ferrari F1 team).

There is also ART Grand Prix, owned by Frederic Vasseur and Nicolas Todt, the son of FIA president, Jean Todt.

There are also the other teams that tried to make it in F1 last year such as Durango, Epsilon Euskadi and Stefan GP. All theses teams submitted their application before the deadline of April 15.
