As it was the case in Italy and India, two independent DRS zones will be in operation this weekend.
Last year's Abu Dhabi race was strongly criticised after overtaking proved extremely difficult and FIA race director Charlie Whiting is confident that the DRS will spice up Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
"The race came in for a bit of criticism last year because the cars found it very difficult to overtake," said Charlie Whiting. "But there are two DRS zones this year, with two activation points, and they should make a significant difference in that respect."
The first on the long back straight between Turns 7 and 8 (green symbol), with the detection point at the entrance of the Turn 7 hairpin (yellow symbol).
The second one is located on the following kinked straight towards the Turn 11/12/13 complex (dark green symbol), with the detection point in the middle of the Turn 8/9 chicane (orange symbol).
