A week after dismissing the latest round of rumours, GP2 series frontrunner Bruno Senna insists he still has not secured a seat on the 2009 formula one grid.

Raging speculation at Valencia two weeks ago suggested the Brazilian, the nephew of the great Ayrton Senna, had signed to race next year with the partly Gerhard Berger-owned Toro Rosso team.

It was also rumoured on the verge of the European grand prix that Senna, 24, may be close to penning a back-up option to become BMW-Sauber's test driver in 2009.

"All I can say at the moment that none of these rumours has any basis in fact," he said in his latest column for motorsports-magazine.com.

"We are currently engaged in serious negotiations with various people from various teams, but nothing has been decided yet."

It is suggested that Senna's situation, as with many subjects of the current F1 silly-season, will develop over the next few weeks.
