"I am excited to go to as many briefings as possible and listen to radio communications and I am convinced I will be learning something new and useful every day with this hyper-sophisticated car that is an F1," he added.
"Robert is without a doubt very very fast," explained the manager of the driver’s development program at Marussia Virgin, Marc Hayes. "He’s already started his work with us with aerodynamic simulations for this weekend’s race. We are looking very much forward to what we hope will be a long and bright future together."

Robert Wickens will be at every F1 Grand Prix for the remaining of the 2011 season with the exception of the Japanese Grand Prix which schedule conflicts with the final race of the Formula Renault championship, the priority of the driver who is currently second in the standing.
"I hope to learn as much as possible about F1 in the next couple of months. I also hope to be able to watch the cars on track as a fan sometimes, around the corner. After all, F1 is my dream but it also is a passion," concluded the Canadian.
