Bruno Senna was 8th in the Williams-Renault. “We had a very productive day, with Bruno successfully completing a full race simulation this morning,” said Mark Gillan, chief operations engineer.
Veteran Jarno Trulli was down in 9th place in the Caterham. It was the first time that the team was experimenting with the KERS. Trulli was 3.3 seconds down to Alonso in the Ferrari.
The second test session will be held in Barcelona February 21-24.
