The McLaren-Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen dominated the second round of free practice at the Hungaroring Friday afternoon in preparation for the Grand Prix of Hungary.

Kovalainen topped the charts during most of the session until Hamilton beat his time with the late charge.

Nico Rosberg performed again well, securing 3rd place in his Toyota-powered Williams. German GP winner Mark Webber was 4th in his Red Bull-Renault, beating his famous teammate Sebastian Vettel (6th).

Despite the warm weather, the Brawn-Mercedes had disappointing runs. Rubens Barrichello was 7th while Jenson Button was 13th.

It was again a day to forget for Ferrari. Kimi Raikkonen was 11th, and Felipe Massa, struggling with grip problems, was a lowly 18th.

Despite their new double diffuser and nose, the Toro Rosso-Ferraris were slowest of the group.
