Fifth pole position of the season for the reigning world champion at Monaco alongside Jenson Button with his McLaren.
Sebastian Vettel is on top with his Red Bull, 4 tenth of a second ahead of Jenson Button.
His teammate, Mark Webber, is third. Fernando Alonso is on the second row with his Ferrari, almost one second slower than the pole position.
Fifth, Michael Schumacher scores his best result of the year in qualifying, Felipe Massa is sixth with the other Ferrari.
Big crash for Sergio Perez at the end of Q3. The Sauber driver lost the control of his car out of the tunnel and heavily hitted the safety barriers. The Mexican was conscious when he was transported to the hospital Princesse Grace. The crash is similar to the one of Karl Wendlinger in 1994 at the same place.
The two HRT didn't complete any lap during the qualifying session. The stewards have now to evaluate if they can participate to the grand prix on Sunday.
