Complete surprise as the session finaly got back on its way more than an hour after being red flagged because of rain - and an accident from Vitantonio Liuzzi, unhurt.

Rubens Barrichello - who admitted to be low-in-fuel - completes this incredible session with pole at home, in Brazil. Mark Webber does significantly better than his teammate and title contender Sebastian Vettel who did not go pass Q1 due to an admitedly bad strategy from the Red Bull Team.

AdrianĀ Sutil completes this unexpected qualifying podium as Jenson Button does no better than 14th overall.

This means thatĀ Barrichello could realize his goal to score more than five points than Button, meaning the championship battle will go to Abu Dhabi with chances for the Brazilian to score his first title.

Another catastrophic qualifying session for the McLarens as both will start in the very back of the grid in 17th and 18th position.

Nico Rosberg could have get his first pole position had the session been rained out as was expected. Unfortunatly for him but fortunatly for the thousands of spectators waiting for the show to go on in Brazil, rain did not win this time around. Rosberg will start 7th.

Brawn GP needs only four points tomorrow to clinch the manufacturers' championship.
