A well-known Austrian online betting company could be set to become a major sponsor of the newly renamed Brawn GPFormula 1 team in 2009, according to reports.
Specialist publications in France, citing a source within the Brackley based team, believe the Mercedes-powered BGP001 will carry yellow, white and black 'bwin.com' branding.
Bwin Interactive Entertainment AG has already been active in the field of prominent sports sponsorships, through multi-million deals including with MotoGP as well as football teams Real Madrid and AC Milan.
The French publications claim Bwin has been in contact with Bernie Ecclestone.
Black and white flashes aside, the white BGP001 car debuted by Jenson Button at Silverstone last Friday carried no commercial signage except that of official tyre supplier Bridgestone.
