Longtime Canadian automotive TV shows Driver's Seat and Motoring 2004 now have a new competitor vying for car fans on the nation's small screen.

Make sure and tune in to see the first episode of Driving Television as it airs on Global TV across the country, today at 12:00 PM throughout Saskatchewan, 1:00 PM in Quebec, and 4:00 PM in BC, Alberta, Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. Bell ExpressVue and Star Choice times are 4:00 PM for all provinces except Saskatchewan and Manitoba, which air at noon.

The inaugural weekly series will premier with a preview of the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, as well as a review of Nissans' new Quest minivan by hosts Zack Spencer and Dagmar Midcap. Additionally the two will test out the radical new Chevy SSR (see yesterday's road test review in this website), while "Extreme Drives" host Dana McLoughlin will drive a Monster Truck.

Also covered in the premier episode will be the Chevy SSR (shown), as well as Harley Davidson's new V-Rod motorcycle and an exposé on convertible hardtops. (Photo: www.drivingtelevision.com)

Not to leave out the two-wheel crowd, the first episode will feature Dagmar Midcap testing Harley Davidson's new V-Rod motorcycle. Also on the agenda will be an exposé on convertible hardtops followed by a humorous look at the relationship between cars and attractive young models.

Driving Television is a production of Tencrows Media Group of Surrey, B.C., and is written by CanadianDriver editor, Greg Wilson. More information can be found at www.drivingtelevision.com.
