Due to “several major disagreements with the Fisker Automotive executive management on the business strategy,” Henrik Fisker, the company's founder and executive chairman, today decided to resign.

Sources calling Fisker for further information were met with a “no comment” statement.

After the U.S. Department of Energy froze most of its $529 million loan, Fisker Automotive is desperately seeking funds to produce its second model, the Atlantic sedan, which would be manufactured at a former General Motors assembly plant in Wilmington, Delaware. The struggling automaker has reportedly been talking to Chinese investors.
