Holly Hell! Now this is a Toyota that I would proudly display in my living room. Better known as common home appliances, Toyotas typically drive comfortably, maintain their value and are unremarkably reliable but are better suited to those not requiring the occasional adrenaline rush.

Certainly, in the past at least, Toyota could build'em as good as anyone else, sports cars that is. Think of the Celica, Supra, MR2, to name a few, and most recently, Toyota has dabbled in supercar territory with the Lexus LFA but it's so far out of reach that it barely counts. The upcoming FT-86 could reinstate Toyota as a performance car builder but I'll wait for a test drive and then I'll judge.

I guess the same could be said about this rare, beautiful gem: a 1967 2000GT Coupe. Because only 351 of these extraordinary cars were built, you'll likely never see one in your life. Therefore, when one comes up for grabs, we consider it an occasion.

One such car is now available, well sort of. Located in Biddeford, ME, this 2000GT, which sport VIN # MF10-10088, has a “buy it now” tag of $650,000. Yes, that's right. This particular car is a one owner example which was most-likely purchased for just under $7,000 when new. Not a bad investment.

A few specs: 150 hp, 2.0L inline-6 cylinder engine, 5-speed manual, RWD, limited slip differential, 4-wheel disc brakes and a top speed of 135 mph or 217 km/h.

Bask in the glory of the first Japanese supercar ever created.
