Featuring a modern and cutting edge design and packing some serious high-tech hardware alongside a new 265 horsepower engine, the Ford Edge is guaranteed to make waves when it hits showroom floors.
Excitement has been building steadily among the automotive media and consumers alike. In early September at the Georgian College Auto Show Fords latest model made an appearance and was an instant hit.
With a starting price of under $33,000, consumers are sure to be excited by the value based packaging which will be the focus of the American carmakers turnaround efforts in the coming years.
Built in Canada, the Edge will be available in four different models and with front or all wheel drive.
The base model Edge SE FWD is priced at $32,999, and a base model AWD starts with a sticker of $34,999. The loaded SEL model with FWD is priced at $35,999, with the range-topping SEL AWD priced at $37,999.
Options include 18 inch aluminum wheels, a roof rack system, backup sensor, and panoramic Vista roof system. For the directionally challenged, a DVD navigation system is available, and for the kids, there is an optional DVD entertainment system.
