Ford is launching this week its most comprehensive truck marketing campaign ever to promote the all-new 2015 Ford F-150. Available across the widest variety of communications platforms yet, from college football to professional bull riding to country music to smartphones, Ford’s new multichannel marketing campaign will reach truck customers where they work and play.
The commercials and online webisodes will highlight the F-150's Built Ford Tough durability, class-leading capabilities (up to 12,200lb towing and 3,300lb hauling), smart innovations (aluminum body, 360-degree camera, LED headlamps/spotlights, remote tailgate release), and 38 consecutive years of F-Series as the best-selling truck in the U.S.
In other Ford news, the company and AccuWeather are joining forces to integrate one of the leading weather apps featuring hyper-localized weather forecasting into Ford vehicles equipped with SYNC AppLink. The technology uses an exact street address or GPS location to provide minute-by-minute weather forecasting, information about precipitation type, intensity and duration to the driver.
Ford has also partnered with Life360 to help keep family members in touch while commuting with the introduction of the SYNC AppLink-enabled Life360 app with all-new Drive Mode feature. Once the app is connected through available SYNC AppLink, Drive Mode automatically alerts the driver’s loved ones that he or she is behind the wheel to encourage them not to text the person until they receive a follow-up alert stating the driver is no longer operating the vehicle.
