During the introduction of the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 at the Texas World Speedway last weekend, Ford's Shelby-Boss director Jim Owens confirmed that the car will have a redline of 8,250 rpm and a power-to-displacement ratio of more than 100hp/L. With a 5.2L engine under the hood, drivers can expect to have over 520 horses at their disposal.
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2015 and showcase its performance and capabilities at various race tracks across the U.S. including Laguna Seca, Road America, Watkins Glen, and Sebring, just to name a few possibilities.
Owens didn't specify the number of units that will be produced, but hinted at a volume that's somewhere between the current Mustang Boss 302 and Shelby GT500.
