As a result, Deep says, ''If the vehicle approaches an unstable situation, the vehicle's RSC system is activated. That means engine power is reduced and/or the brakes are applied to one or more of the wheels as necessary to help regain vehicle stability.''
While Deep believes that Ford has created a product that will help prevent rollover incidents, he also makes the point that a safety belt is still ''the single most important system for reducing the risk of injury for vehicle occupants.''
This is particularly true in rollovers, since most of the people who get killed or suffer severe injuries in such situations are almost always unbelted.
