Quebecker Mikaël Grenier finished third of this first race of three, in Road America, this morning. He also got the pole for Round 12 from Alexander Rossi, winner of this 10th Round, who was penalised for blocking him during yesterday's qualifying session.
Seventh on the grid, Grenier's third place will also permit him to leave tomorrow morning's grid from this position, an awesome opportunity for the Quebecker.
Rossi is the driver that won 10th Round of the 2008 season, this morning. He finished in front of his Eurointernational teammate Adrien Tambay that led 3 laps, between the 3rd and 5th lap. Ricardo Favoretto finished 4th, 0.5 second behind Grenier.
The other Quebecker in the race, Maxime Pelletier, started 10th and couldn't do much good in the race, ultimately taking the 9th rank. It is still better than Rookie leader Gianmarco Raimondo though. He finished 0.3 second behind him.
A disastrous results for the driver in this three week-end event situation since he will have to start from this position tomorrow morning. He will have lots to do if he expects to bring home a better result and stay on top of the Rookie standing.
Round 12 of the season will take place tomorrow afternoon, at 4PM. Expect from Grenier starting form pole, Rossi will be another driver to watch since he will probably be trying every possible solution to get back on top of the chart.
