Drivers Maxime Pelletier and Mikaël Grenier were disqualified from Saturday's race in Montreal, a race they both finished on the podium.

However, they were not disqualified because of a non-regulatory fuel like the rumours have said. They were disqualified because of a technical problem the stewards seem to have noticed at the usual verifications of the cars, following the race.

The managers of the two drivers have no intentions of letting the series take that podium away. "We would certainly not invest any money in judiciary procedures if we were not 100% sure we are right in this story."

"The series wants this to go to court, so we will go to court. It will not be the first time they are proven wrong anyway" resumed the father and manager of young driver Maxime Pelletier, Rémy Pelletier.

Respectively second and third in Saturday's race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, official disqualification of both drivers came only a couple of days later.

Evidently - as it is the case of every judiciary procedures in every field - no details concerning either the reason of the original disqualification or the discussions happening between the drivers, their teams and the series will be revealed before the end of legal procedures.

The process could take as long as the rest of the season and, as Rémy Pelletier said, it is not the first time this is happening in this Formula BMW series.

Points for second and third place finish on Saturday's race will be returned to Pelletier and Grenier at the very moment they are proven right, if ever they are.
