Thomas McGregor clinched the 2013 Formula Tour 1600 title, this weekend at the Mont Tremblant circuit, with a pair of second-place finishes at the wheel of his Spectrum-Honda.

The Saskatoon native did leave the top step of the podium to his teammate Tristan De Grand, who earned two wins, a pole, and second place overall in the championship standings over the weekend.

Other than the championship, McGregor denied only Sunday's pole to the American.

Local favourite Didier Schraenen, who clinched third place overall in the standings, joined McGregor and De Grand on the podium Saturday. Ontarian Chase Pelletier, however, beat him to third place in the last race of the season, Sunday, as Schraenen settled for fourth.
