François Fillon, France's Prime Minister and keen motorsport fan recently drove the
turbo diesel Peugeot 908 that won the prestigious
24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2009.
On his Facebook page, Fillon wrote "I drive the Peugeot 908 that won Le Mans, and it was a really enjoyable experience!"
The Prime Minister drive 8 laps of the Le Mans-Bugatti circuit, and even had a little off in one of the corners but without consequences.
Fillon is also an amateur racer and a keen supporter of motorsport. He has often competed in the Classic le mans 24 Hours, an event for vintage race cars.
Apparently, Fillon's lap times were quite good, but they were not released.
