While we were expecting a concept car, Fisker has taken us by surprise by announcing that the Surf -- a wagon derivative of the Karma unveiled for the first time today -- will actually be launched in 2013 across the world.
Visually speaking, the car has sleek lines that radiate luxury and the Surf even sits atop 22” wheels over biting Brembo brakes.
The Fisker Surf uses an electric motor and a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 260 hp engine which gives it a total range of 482 km. In electric mode, the Surf can travel 80 kilometres before using a single drop of fuel.
Two modes are available: Stealth and Sport. Using the latter, the driver benefits from an amazing 981 lb.-ft of torque, allowing the Fisker Surf to reach 96 km/h from a complete stop in just 5.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 201 km/h.
