Art on wheels. That’s how you could describe the latest creation from Galpin Auto Sports (GAS), to be showcased at the SEMA show in November then sold at auction for a good cause at the esteemed Barrett-Jackson classic car auction in January 2012.

It’s a 2011 Mustang that got treated to a complete makeover inspired by the 1969 Boss 429.

The custom-made wideboby kit, candy apple red paint job and three-piece Forgiato wheels wrapped in 295/25R21 tires in front and 335/25R22 in back are definitely double take-inducing.

Nestled under the hood is a supercharged, 5.0-litre V8, tweaked to generate all of 700 ponies.

We don’t usually post news blurbs concerning mods, but we thought this one was worth passing on, as all the proceeds from the sale of this Mustang will go directly to St. Jude Hospital to help in the fight against cancer.
