Gumpert has given us a glimpse of its 2012 Tornante with a sketch showing the direction the manufacturer took with its development, days before its appearance at the Geneva Motor Show.
Built according to the “Superleggera” philosophy, which consists of using a composite shell over a carbon fibre monocoque frame, the supercar will be powered by an Audi-sourced, 4.2-litre, 700-hp, V8 mill.
The Tornante will call on a TT403 transmission with steering wheel paddles (the same as the Apollo) as well as a double-wishbone suspension.
We also learned that an alternative version of the machine is planned for 2012, perhaps a hybrid or electric variant.
