GM of Canada Announces Pricing For New Extended Mid-Size SUVs

General Motors of Canada Ltd. announced pricing today for the all-new 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT, and GMC Envoy XL. Due in dealerships in late April, these seven passenger, extended mid-size SUVs build on the host of innovative technologies of the TrailBlazer and Envoy, and continue to be a key component in GM's overall strategy to leverage our truck leadership position.

The MSRP's for the 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL are:2WD 4WD

  • Envoy XL SLT $ 45,180
  • TrailBlazer EXT LT $ 43,700

" With a 16" longer wheelbase and overall length, the TrailBlazer EXT and Envoy XL are new 7-passenger additions to our current utility lineup," states Debbie Hadden, GM of Canada's Segment Brand Manager for sport utilities. Both vehicles come equipped with larger rear doors for easy access and 25% more cargo area than the 5-passenger models. "With the addition of a rear cargo shelf storage system, a rear heating/air conditioning system, a 65/35 split, flat-folding 3rd row seat, and 17" tires/wheels we can now offer our customers the choice of model that best meets their individual passenger and cargo capacity needs."

Standard features for both models include: the award winning Vortec 4200 in-line 6-cylinder engine, dual zone air conditioning, power driver's seat, 4-wheel ABS, driver/passenger front and side impact airbags, heavy-duty trailering, locking differential, traction assist on 2WD models, and OnStar one-year Safe and Sound plan.
