China is a real goldmine for automakers. To wit, SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has sold over one million vehicles in the first eight months of 2012 alone, an average of 3,500 vehicles every day – up 15.2% from the same period in 2011 when the feat was accomplished in October.

With 400,000 units sold since hitting the market in 2010, the Wuling Hong Guang minivan is the company's most popular model in China.
