There are buyers as well, Zarrella said, that "still have a significant interest in aggressive muscle-type cars, sporty coupes, and economical, safe, high-quality transport."
In general terms of what will be showing up at different GM dealerships by 2004, Zarrella said that means cars for three key customer groups:
- those wanting mainstream vehicles with "the best combination of value, safety, performance and space"
- those who desire "driver-oriented vehicles that showcase great dynamics, style and precision," and
- those seeking so-called "new-values vehicles that defy categorization but fit their lifestyles"
