- The Sierra C-Series specially tuned Increased Capacity/Firm Ride suspension system has torsion bars in front, two-stage leaf springs in back, and extra roll damping to maintain an even keel during trailer towing and heavy-load hauling. Kornas says that, "In ordinary driving, the C-Series' suspension provides a comfortable ride with no trace of float or wallow. During aggressive driving, suspension calibrations are in synch with the Performance Biased Driveline to support high-g cornering with a level of poise unprecedented in half-ton pickups."
- Michelin 265/70R 17-inch all-season tires and high-performance styled aluminum wheels, each one of which is labeled with the "Performance Biased Driveline" identification surrounding a red GMC logo.
- As in all Sierras, the C-Series has high-capacity 4-wheel disc brakes, standard ABS, and a dynamic rear proportioning (DRP) system that Kornas says "makes optimum use of braking capacity at both ends of the vehicle." He says that "DRP extends lining life, enhances stopping performance when heavy loads are carried or towed, and provides the driver with a more linear and predictable response." Larger rear calipers from 3/4-ton Sierra pickups bring the new pickup's braking performance into line with its improved acceleration and cornering potential.
