Consumers' rights to test drive and inspect vehicle
A customer must be able to test drive a vehicle, and if desired, get it inspected by a mechanic of his choice located within a reasonable distance from the merchant selling the vehicle. The merchant must allow that the vehicle be driven to the location of the inspection, or pay to have the vehicle transported there. Exceptions: if the vehicle is not fit to circulate on the road (to be reconstructed or for parts), or if the customer is unable to provide a valid driver's license.
Reconstructed automobiles
If a merchant sells a vehicle that's been reconstructed, he must indicate it in the advertisement.
Several other measures have been put in place that merchants must conform to, but which don't have any direct impact on the consumer.
