Gordon Murray Design officials also note that the T.25 will be inexpensive to transport to dealers and customers, as a typical shipping container can carry about 3 times as many models compared to standard vehicles. The light weight means minimal tire wear too-- and owners can save even more money if they’re involved in a fender-bender thanks to easily replaceable body panels.
Should an accident prove inevitable, the company promises the T.25 will boast an exceptionally strong body structure, thanks to material usage and body design lessons learned from F1 racing. End of the day, this tiny car looks to be a very big deal where fuel, space and production efficiency are concerned..
It doesn’t stop at the T.25 though-- as there’s a T.27 model in the works that will step things up even further.
The T.27 basically amounts to an electric-powered version of the T.25 that’s built to capitalize on the efficiency of the gas-powered model with a 25-kilowatt electric motor and lithium-ion battery. Claimed is a range of 80 to 100 miles, as well as 0-100km/h in under 15 seconds.
A running prototype of the T.27 is expected next spring, and the T.25 is intended for sale in the coming years, too.
