Recently crowned British Formula 3 driver Felipe Nasr, earned himself a spot for the Daytona Rolex 24, thanks to his win in the Sunoco Daytona Challenge.

The Sunoco Daytona Challenge is a contest organized by Sunoco between drivers of three different series – the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, the Cooper Tires F3 International and the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship.

Drivers are rewarded by a points system, taking into account poles, fastest laps and race wins.

Nasr clinched the contest by taking pole at the latest F3 British Championship round, held at Donington Park. He is the first British champion to do so, after two unsuccessful attempts from Daniel Ricciardo (2009 British champion) and Jean-Éric Vergne (2010 champion).

"Its such a great feeling - winning the championship three weeks ago was amazing and this is definitely up there with that. I want to thank everyone for this opportunity; it's a big thing for me and is a massive mark in my career," said Nasr.

Felipe Nasr is a Brazilian driver, living in Woking while competing in the British F3 Championship. He started racing four years ago, first in Formula BMW, than in F3.
