With the weather forecasts on the fans side, this weekend should be interesting in Montreal. The Grand-Am Rolex crews are getting ready for yet another close finish on Friday as the prototype cars hit the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit for the first time since last year.

This season is certainly the one of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas who could beat a series' record by winning an eighth race on Saturday.

The pair, that currently lead the championship by 26 points over Ryan Dalziel, would only need to leave Montreal with a 35 points cushion to take their second title in three seasons.

Max Angelelli, third in the standing, will also be looking for the win in Montreal where he won in 2007 and 2009 alongside Jan Magnussen and Brian Frisselle, respectively. This time, he will team-up with Ricky Taylor.

Frisselle will be racing as well in Montreal. He will share the wheel with Canadian driver Michael Valiente. Frisselle and Mark Walkins won in 2008, making a "hat trick" possible with a third win in Montreal.

In GT, native driver and 2010 Daytona 24 class winner Sylvain Tremblay will be eying another good performance in a particularly successful season for him and co-driver Jonathan Bomarito. Second in the standing, Tremblay only trails Emil Assentato and Jeff Segal by four points.

Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell, who will be looking for a third straight victory in Montreal, will try to get a first win out of their Chevrolet Camaro after two seasons in a Pontiac GXP.R.

Hollywood actor Patrick Dempsey is expected to return to racing in Montreal after a busy acting schedule this summer.
