Former teenage sensation Jeff Segal returns to Ferrari

Jeff Segal began his racing career racing Ferraris in the Ferrari Challenge, as a teenager. In 2012, he will try to recapture winning glory aboard the all-new Ferrari 458 Italia Grand-Am racer.

Segal has already been racing in the Grand-Am series for a few years now, winning the GT class title twice in the last three years. Segal was also one of the first drive to test the 458 when Ferrari announced its intentions to compete in Grand-Am.

“The moment that Ferrari announced their intention to return to the Rolex Series for the 50th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of,” Segal said.”

Porsche corral at the Rolex 24: first come, first served

Since 1970, Ruben Ledesma has been the famous endurance race. Since 2001, he organizes a Porsche corral.

“I can’t think of a better event to celebrate Porsche than the Rolex 24 – a race that Porsche has won overall 22 times,” argued Ledesma, member of the Porsche Club of America.

Ledesma has been attracting up to 125 cars to his event, for the past 11 years. For some it's an occasion to watch the race, for others it's just about having a good time with fellow Porsche enthusiasts.

For the 12th edition, Ledesma plans on hitting 200 cars limit.

“It’s going to fill up early, first come, first served,” he said. “So don’t be disappointed – this is an event you definitely want to be part of.”
