Having already taken part in the Daytona 24 this year, Paul Tracy decide to go for another round of Grand-Am in 2012.

He will drive the No. 77 Combos Ford/Dallara of Doran Racing, alongside neurosurgeon Jim Lowe in the Daytona Prototype category of the Global Barter 250, presented at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The pair, which finished seventh at Daytona, will also drive together at the Sahlen's Six Hours of Watkins Glen on July 1st, and at the Super Weekend at the Brickyard, held July 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

"I am absolutely thrilled to race again with Paul Tracy," Lowe said.

"Any red-blooded racer would enjoy having a champion of such caliber as their co-driver[.] Working with Paul at Daytona turned out to be an absolutely enjoyable experience. He is an exceptional guy, fun to hang out with, great to drive with, and excellent from a technical standpoint."

Although Tracy has yet to set a wheel around the New Jersey track, he can count on a co-driver that lives minute from it to keep him informed.

"I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel with Doran," Tracy said.

"We had a good run at the Rolex 24 and the team has had a chance to prepare for the upcoming races. I’m pleased to get back together with Jim for his hometown race at New Jersey. This is a track I have not yet driven, so I’m eager to learn the course on Thursday during the opening test day," he added.
