Richard Westbrook and Antonio Garcia were first across the finishing line of the Porsche 250 held at Barber Motorsports Park, driving the Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP they had already qualified on pole.

Scott Pruett and Alex Gurney (No. 01 TELMEX BMW/Riley) climbed on the third spot of the podium thanks to bold strategy, but could not quite catch up to second place finishers Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty (No. 99 GAINSCO Corvette DP).

Sylvain Tremblay and Jonathan Bomarito (No. 70 SpeedSource Mazda RX-8) came out on top of a GT fight with Emil Assentato and Jeff Segal (No. 69 AIM Autosport Ferrari 458) and Leh Keen and Andrew Davis (No. 59 Brumos Porsche GT3).

Daytona 24 Hours winners Ozz Negri and John Pew finished only eighth in the DP class, having lost time in the midfield with a spinning GT car.

GT Rolex 24 winners Magnus Racing didn't have a much better weekend - they suffered an engine failure in practice and had to revert to the same power-plant they ran at Daytona. Thanks to the fourth-place finish Andy Lally and John Potter salvaged, they still hold on to the lead of the championship.

In the No. 51 APR Audi R8 Grand-Am, Dion von Moltke and Jim Norman also had a tough race, forced to start from the back of the field by a bolt on the splitter judged too low. They rallied to 11th-place.
