Richard Westbrook (Spirit of Daytona Racing) banked a last minute lap aboard his No. 90 Corvette DP, quick enough to dismiss Jon Fogarty from his pole-sitting spot at Barber Motorsports Park's Porsche 250.

Corvette has bounced back from the Role 24, sweeping the first three spot on the starting grid.

"[The Corvette DP] is an absolute joy to drive," Westbrook said. "The aero on the car is absolutely unbelievable. It's still a very new car and it's going to get better.

Paul Edwards (Autohaus Motorsports Chevrolet) took the GT pole, also in dramatic fashion.

The driver of the No. 88 Camaro GT.R crashed his car in morning practice, and narrowly made it on time for qualifying, thanks to his crew's effort.
