Honda readies Civic to defend #1 sales crown

No other vehicle in the segment covers as much ground as the Civic with its two body styles, three engines, four transmissions and six trim levels, Honda notes with some degree of satisfaction. All totaled, there are more than 150 model, trim, option and colour combinations for the 2006 Civic, which is more than ever before.

Once again Honda is trying to turn the Civic into a vehicle that will appeal to more of the people who aren't looking for an appliance, so they've created what they believe is a much more stylish set of cars than the Civic name has ever seen. The final judgment on that belongs with the car-buying public.
