The Portico-type vehicle will feature what Michael Hill, Hyundai Auto Canada's manager of corporate strategic planning, calls a "unique seating configuration combined with a remarkable level of passenger/cargo flexibility."
Hill says Hyundai has been "encouraged by the response to the Portico concept vehicle wherever it has been shown, and the design team has continued to make great progress. As such, we are accelerating the development of the production version of this unique vehicle,"
Hill claims the Portico-esque vehicle "is the type of vehicle we want people to associate with the Hyundai brand; it is a breakthrough concept incorporating style, safety, and interior flexibility that will provide an exciting alternative to a traditional minivan for many Canadian consumers."
