Toyota will Build the Prius in the U.S.
The automotive market is greatly affected by the steady rise in gas prices. Manufacturers have to adjust to this new reality. Toyota, for one, decided to temporarily suspend production of the Tundra full-size pickup truck and Sequoia full-size sport utility vehicle. Meanwhile, the Prius will now be built on American soil, more precisely in Blue Springs, Mississippi. The plant is currently under construction and should be operational in 2010. With this new facility, the world's number one automaker will be able to increase the availability of its famous hybrid.
