Since 1997, the rookie orientation practice has never seen so many new drivers get acquainted with the legendary circuit of Indianapolis. Furthermore, the quality of the newcomers invited was evident as they completed 642 error-free laps Sunday afternoon.

KV Technology Racing teammates Will Power and Oriol Servia, logged almost 100 laps apiece and topped 220 mph, Will Power finally being the fastest driver of the day with a speed of 220.694 mph.

HVM Racing's E.J. Viso was impressive during all day and he finished his working day with a speed of 220.445 mph good enough to be second fastest just in front of veteran Oriol Servia.
