Canadian driver Alex Tagliani planted his Bowers & Wilkins-sponsored Sam Schmidt Motorsport Dallara-Honda on pole position for the prestigious Indy 500.
Tagliani, who's been quick since the beginning of practice, put four consistent laps in 39.5200 seconds, 39.5626, 39.5726 and 39.6061 for an average speed of 227.472 miles per hour, good for the pole.
Scott Dixon (Target Ganassi) will start on the front row alongside Oriol Servia (Neman-Haas Racing).
The Indy 500 will be held Sunday May 29.
