Power was the fastest driver on Monday and was looking forward to Tuesday but overnight rain forced a change in scheduling to allow for both sessions to take place on a dry track.

Scott Dixon (Ganassi) ended up grabbing third spot in front of Ryan Briscoe (Penske) who was fourth on combined times. Oriol Servia (Newman-Haas) completed the top 5.

Reigning series’ champion Dario Franchitti (team Ganassi) had a difficult day only managing 11th.

Canadian James Hinchcliffe was once again up to pace in the second Newman-Haas Racing car setting the seventh fastest time.

“We didn’t quite get as much time as we’d have liked from the afternoon, I think we could have gone a bit faster.”
