Canadian James Hinchcliffe was the fastest among four IndyCar drivers who took to the Sebring International Raceway road course aboard a Newman/Haas Racing Dallara-Honda.

For Hinchcliffe, it was his third day in an Indy car after testing with the team in last December. He set the fastest lap time in the morning and in the afternoon session of the four cars of four different teams that ran each time.

Among the other teams present at the 1.65-mile course were Panther Racing, Andretti Autosport and Target Chip Ganassi Racing each having one car on track during the day with two drivers splitting the testing duties.

“We did a lot more development work this time rather than just getting me up to speed as we did last time,” stated Hinchcliffe. “Because of the track conditions we didn’t get quite as much done as we would have liked but it was certainly a very productive day.”

Newman/Haas Racing has scheduled another day of testing today on the same track, hoping that the course stays nice and dry.
