The IZOD IndyCar Series will move forward with a hearing for protests filed by Newman/Haas Racing and Target Chip Ganassi Racing regarding the results of the Indy 225 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Protests on behalf of the No. 2 car fielded by Newman/Haas Racing and the No. 9 car fielded by Target Chip Ganassi Racing were received by IndyCar within 30 minutes of the posting of official results.

The protest hearing will take place the week of August 22 in Indianapolis.

"Andretti Autosport has been invited to participate in the hearing because of its No. 28 car's interest in the outcome of the protests," the statement indicated.

Let's recall that Oriol Servia and Scott Dixon both passed leader Ryan Hunter-Reay on the final restart of the rain-interrupted event, only for the race to go back immediately to yellow as several cars spun wildly on the cold and damp surface. The race was never restarted.
